We perform cutting-edge research in the fields of matter and materials, energy and environment and human health. By performing fundamental and applied research, we work on sustainable solutions for major challenges facing society, science and economy. PSI is committed to the training of future generations. Therefore, about one quarter of our staff are post-docs, post-graduates or apprentices. Altogether, PSI employs 2100 people.

For the Large Research Facilities Division we are looking for a
On-line data acquisition for an X-Ray spectrometer
This project deals with the visualization and on-line data acquisition of an X-Ray spectrometer working in the so-called tender spectral region (between soft and hard X-Rays). The work comprises the development of a proper quick analysis procedure, region-of-interest selection and graphical user interface for users and operators to use the spectrometer interface. It could also include a simplified calibration procedure and will ideally involve working with the spectrometer itself, if beam time will become available.
