To support the production lines in the GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear) factory, Quality Control (QC) has started a comprehensive process using statistics based on the quality data collected called Q-Pulse. To be able to get the most out of this new platform, a Q-Pulse standard cockpit must be created using collected data from all sources using Excel and eventually Power BI. The project will be supported by the Head of Production Quality and is key to enable statistical analysis, allowing all GIS departments in Zürich, Oerlikon, to define and prioritize the improvement projects which have the biggest benefit for the business. The duration of the internship is 6 to 12 months.
Setting the scope and gathering product quality data from different sources (SAP, SharePoint tools, MES, etc.)
Helping to design the Q-Pulse Cockpit for GIS production lines
Creating a standard, simplified process for monthly data presentations
Support in CIP (continuous improvement processes)
Learning and implementing Lean and 6 Sigma tools (Pareto charts / run charts, etc.)
Student, preferably, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Above average proficiency in Excel (incl. Visual Basic) and Power BI is advantageous
Fluency in written and spoken German, as well as spoken English
Ability to work in a team, as well as willingness to handle responsibilities independently
