Co-Team Leader Social Support and Civil Law
(Volunteer position, min. 3h / week, start date as soon as possible)
Who we are
AsyLex is a Swiss non-profit organisation which supports refugees by providing free legal aid. All activities are financed by donations and made possible by more than 150 volunteers working for free. Our Social Support and Civil Law team advises asylum seekers during and after their asylum procedure on social welfare matters and civil law (e.g., consumers’ rights) issues.
What you will do
In order to strengthen our Social Support and Civil Law team, we are looking for a co-team leader. Your key responsibilities will be:
- Allocation and coordination of cases
- Managing a team of around 10 volunteers (knowledge transfer, evaluation, feedback, recruitment)
- Supporting and mentoring volunteers in cases regarding social welfare matters and civil law.
- Leading of team meetings
- Participation in team leader exchange meetings
What we are looking for
You have studied or are studying law or social work. Previous experience in human rights and/or volunteering is an asset. Fluent German and English is a must, any other language is a plus. You are reliable, committed and you have strong organisational skills.
